This performance results from the first phase of the PARTIS project “Opera in Prison: Don Giovanni 1003, Leporello 2016”. The project began in 2014 with an exchange of musical experiences among a group of inmates in the Leiria Prison School and a multidisciplinary team of artists and closes in late 2016 with the establishing of bridges between the inmate and artistic institutions in their areas of residence. In 2015, an opera performance took place in prison that now, against the expectations of all those involved, steps beyond the confines of the prison bars.
