Giorgio Biancorosso

Dramaturgy

Giorgio Biancorosso’s work investigates the boundaries of music and sound in the theater, cinema and digital media. He is the author of Situated Listening: The Sound of Absorption in Classical Cinema (Oxford University Press, 2016) and the co-founder and editor of the multimedia journal SSS (Sound-Stage-Screen). He is currently completing for Duke University Press the monograph Remixing Wong Kar Wai: Music-Bricolage-Representation (forthcoming). Biancorosso is Professor of Music and Director of the Society of Fellows in the Humanities at The University of Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, he is also active as a programmer and curator. He is the Chairman of the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble and a member of the Programme Committee of the Hong Kong Arts Festival.
