Divertissement is an orchestra that draws on some of the finest European performers of period instruments. It is not, however, a period instrument ensemble but one that brings together a range of different instrumental styles, all open to a historically informed approach. Although not a fixed group, the orchestra gives concerts where, in addition to its collaboration with Olivier Cavé, it performs Classical and early Romantic repertoire.

Their recording debut was greeted with particular enthusiasm for its transparency of sound combined with stunning execution, energetic and rich in detail.
