Born in Paris, Delphine Galou studied piano as well as singing alongside philosophy at La Sorbonne.  His vocal and musical qualities quickly attracted the attention of the professional world.

It is in the baroque repertoire that she specializes, establishing fruitful collaborations with prestigious baroque ensembles.

Delphine Galou is a regular guest at the most important international venues: Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris (title role of Orlando furioso by Vivaldi), Covent Garden by London (Niobe by Steffani), Staatsoper Berlin (Disinganno in Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno), Opéra de Lausanne (Bradamante in Alcina), Theater an der Wien (Penelope in Il ritorno by Ulisse in Patria), Théâtres by Reggio Emilia and Ferrara (title role in Rinaldo).

His considerable discography includes significant involvement in Naïve Teuzzone’s Vivaldi collection with Jordi Savall, Orlando 1714 with Federico Maria Sardelli, L’incoronazione di Dario with Ottavio Dantone (Naïve).

Let us also mention Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle with Ottavio Dantone (Naïve), Steffani’s Niobe with Thomas Hengelbrock and the Balthasar-Neumann Ensemble (DVD Opus Arte), Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges with the Orchestre national de Lyon conducted by Leonard Slatkin (Naxos) or Bach’s Saint John Passion conducted by Marc Minkowski.

She has just released a critically acclaimed recording for Alpha Classics, Agitata, in which she is surrounded by the Accademia Bizantina directed by Ottavio Dantone.
