Violin

Born in Moscow, Alla Javoronkova began her musical studies at the age of five with her mother. She was a student of Levon Ambartzumian at the Central School of Music and at the Moscow Conservatory, where she graduated with the highest classification. Still a student, in 1988, she joined the Soviet-North American Youth Orchestra and toured the United States of America (New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco, and other cities) under the direction of Zubin Mehta and Dmitri Kitayenko. As a concert soloist and chamber music recitalist, she has performed in various locations throughout Portugal, including the major music festivals. She has recorded for RTP – Antena 2 with pianist Antonio Rosado. She has played first violin with the Gulbenkian Orchestra since 1991.
