Pianist of great rendering breadth, from Jazz to traditional Armenian music, including the classical repertory, Tigran Hamasyan open this concert solo. Afterwards, he is joined by the instrumental sounds of Norayr Kardashian and, lastly, he performs with the Gulbenkian Choir to resume the theme of his album Luys i Luso – ECM 2015, released to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide – which combines liturgical characteristics with the exploration of local music. The pieces are of a spiritual origin, swaying between piano lyricism, the duduk’s Armenian melody and contemplative choral beauty.
