Cartão Gulbenkian holders will have the opportunity to follow the work of the Gulbenkian Orchestra, conductor Hannu Lintu, and violinist Nikita Boriso-Glebsky closely during the preparation of Edward Elgar's Violin Concerto.

Considered one of the great works in the violin and orchestra repertoire, the concerto was written for the legendary violinist Fritz Kreisler and immortalised by musicians such as Yehudi Menuhin and Itzhak Perlman in landmark performances.

Please note that the choice of works to be worked on in each rehearsal, as well as the order in which they will be performed, is the sole responsibility of the conductor and is subject to change at any time. The rehearsal duration is variable and depends on the artistic and technical requirements of the preparation.

The rehearsal for this concert is open exclusively to Cartão Gulbenkian holders, who will have the opportunity to observe the conductor, the orchestra, and the soloist up close before the public performance.

The Cartão Gulbenkian programme has a limited capacity. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your ticket. Enter your MyGulbenkian account, open the “Tickets” section, and click “Cancel”.
