The first moment of the cycle is dedicated to Pierre Boulez in the centenary year of his birth. In a free admission recital, pianist Tamara Stefanovich presents a programme of great stylistic breadth, adding to Boulez’s expressive and sophisticated Piano Sonata No. 2 a set of pieces drawing inspiration all the way from the height of the Baroque period to the first half of the 20th century.
