Diabelli Variations

Following his performance with the Gulbenkian Orchestra in October, Piotr Anderszewski returns in recital with a programme that guarantees an unforgettable night, offering a contrast between The Well-Tempered Clavier by J.S Bach and Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations. Even after recording the Diabelli Variations, Anderszewski remained attached to the work, continuing his intimate exploration and describing it as “a single initial cell that eventually becomes a universe of human experiences”. Anderszewski also equates each interpretation to a journey: “We have to pack and get on board. When it’s over, we leave this journey transformed.“
