Moonlight Sonata

Pedro Burmester, a brilliant student of Helena Sá e Costa and Sequeira Costa, grew up carefully observing the best – he attended the Salzburg Festival for 12 years to absorb knowledge by listening to live performances by Brendel and Pollini. The precious balance between virtuosity and emotional depth has made him one of the world’s great interpreters of the Romantic repertoire, in particular, Schumann and Liszt. All Music Guide writes that “Burmester doesn’t just play the notes – he infuses them with unbearable energy and overwhelming intensity”.
