In 2015, the year when the long-awaited solo album Look with Thine Ears was released, New York City Jazz Records labelled the Franco-German Pascal Niggenkemper as “one of the most adventurous bassists on the scene” today. Settled in Paris, Niggenkemper has long justified this accolade for his performances with groups such as the Nate Wooley/David Rempis Quartet and Gerald Cleaver’s Black Host, as well as for his projects vision7, PNTrio and Le 7^ème Continent.
