Richard Wagner

Parsifal
Total approximate duration: 180 min / Live streaming

For twenty years, by decree of Richard Wagner, Parsifal could only be performed on the stage for which the German composer had conceived his opera, the legendary Bayreuth Festival. Wagner’s final creation, premiered in 1882, would later achieve worldwide fame, spreading across the globe the story of a heroic knight in search of the Holy Grail. Leading a cast of distinguished Wagnerian singers, conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin directs Piotr Beczała, Elīna Garanča and Peter Mattei in François Girard’s production for the Metropolitan Opera.
