Opera in Prison represents a project by PARTIS – Artistic Practices for Social Inclusion, which was launched in 2014 at the Leiria prison establishment with the core objective of lowering the reoffending rate among young prisoners. After Don Giovanni, the young prisoner participants in Opera in Prison return this year with another Mozart opera: Così Fan Tutte (with a reduced score).

In this performance, which counts with the participation of the Gulbenkian Orchestra, the old and wise Don Alfonso is here interpreted by a choir of 19 young men. The serenata is sung sung in rap form by prisoner soloists.
