In line with a popular tradition, Gulbenkian Music invites you to start the new year in the best way possible. At the beginning of 2020, the Gulbenkian Orchestra re-edits the New Year’s Concert, this time led by French conductor Frédéric Chaslin, and with the participation of German soprano Nadja Mchantaf, an international rising star member of the Komische Oper. Including pieces by Puccini, Gershwin, Glanzberg or Korngold, the programme was also defined around an extensive repertory of the Viennese Strauss family, favouring J. Strauss II, a classic choice for this occasion.
