In 2018/19, conductor Elena Schwarz was selected for the Gustavo Dudamel Fellowship programme in Los Angeles. In January 2020 she established her growing reputation by directing the opera The Sleeping Thousand at the Gulbenkian Foundation. On her return, she is collaborating with the Gulbenkian Orchestra and the Australian soprano Siobhan Stagg, principal soloist of the Deutsche Oper Berlin for six years and one of the most beautiful voices of our times. Three concerts to greet the New Year, in line with the tradition of playing, during this period, well-known pieces from the romantic repertoire.
