At 21 years of age, Mikhail Pletnev won the International Tchaikovsky Competition, in Moscow, an objective flawlessly achieved. Fourteen years after his last recital at Gulbenkian Music, the famous Russian pianist and conductor returns for another remarkable moment of this season. The two last piano sonatas by Beethoven are introduced to this recital by astonishing akin pieces by Mozart, by the hands of the living legend that is Pletnev, an emotion-wielding musician who performs all of his recitals without reservations.
