Pianist Martha Argerich’s long-awaited return to Gulbenkian’s Grand Auditorium will be with a concert that is special in every way: not only will she share the stage with the highly prestigious Cuarteto Quiroga, but she will also perform a Partita by Bach as a soloist, a rare concession. Argerich, one of the most brilliant pianists of our time, whose name is already imprinted in the history of musical performance, also returns to one of the works with which she left the mark of her enthralling musicianship and remarkable technique: Schumann’s Piano Quintet.
