Martha Argerich, one of the most important pianists of our time, already has a long relationship with the Gulbenkian Foundation, and now appears for the third consecutive time in Gulbenkian Music. After sharing the stage with Lilya Zilberstein in 2017/18, she will now perform in partnership with Stephen Kovacevich, who returns to the Grand Auditorium after a twelve-year absence. The two performed together in 2015 in London in the 75th anniversary concert for the American pianist, which The Guardian called a meeting of “pure energy and deep connection”.
