A leading figure in Jazz em Agosto 2014, American guitarist Marc Ribot returns now with the project The Young Philadelphians, a quartet that throws itself with equal fury into the punk-funk legacy of Ornette Coleman (when heading the Prime Time band) and the golden age of the Philadelphia soul in the 1970s. In each performance of this pulsating ensemble in which Ribot shares the guitar with the avant-garde Chris Cochrane, the group is accompanied by a local string trio. An opening concert that is both vibrant and uncompromising in its references.
