Location
Grand Auditorium Calouste Gulbenkian FoundationThe prestigious Czech soprano Magdalena Kožená leads a very special new project in which she joins with the Spanish Baroque music ensemble Private Musicke and Antonio el Pipa, Compañía de Flamenco. A collaboration that will certainly be unforgettable: Pierre Pitzl is known as the “Jimi Hendrix of Baroque guitar”, El Pipa is considered the great heir of pure flamenco and Kožená plunged deep into Spanish culture in her preparation for Bizet’s Carmen which premiered at the Salzburg Festival in 2012, having learned to play castanets and to dance flamenco in her preparation for the role. A complete recipe for a spectacle absolutely dazzling.
