Born from Slow Is Possible, a Portuguese sextet that explored with enormous creativity the connection to cinematic music and the assumed heritage of an implosion of genres in the line of John Zorn’s Naked City, Made of Bones draws from some of the same premises to rethink, as a quartet, the possibilities of jazz as music made from a myriad of genres and without a defined destination. At every moment, in every corner, everything is a possibility and, in this constellation, the acoustic rhythm section fences in permanence with the crackling electricity that sparks from the notes of the guitar and piano connected to the mains. Radically spontaneous music, in which jazz, rock and exploratory music are references used to dynamite all the limits that may come their way.
