As the founder of the Collectif Coax, Julien Desprez has spent ten years infusing a number of projects with the sound of his guitar, that are an absolute reference on the most electrical Parisian scene. After performing as sideman to Mats Gustafsson, Noel Akchoté, Eve Risser and Louis Sclavis, he made his solo debut with Acapulco in 2014. Two years on, he returned with Acapulco Redux, a show somewhere between a concert and a performance, inspired by philosopher Tristan Garcia, and created in partnership with choreographer Grégory Edelein, to explore the relationship between sound and the body through an original light design.
