ECHOES Across the Atlantic

Works by Händel, Rameau, Marais, Pepusch, Lully, Purcell, Vivaldi and Graun
Total approximate duration: 120 min

Grammy Award-winning ensemble Apollo’s Fire joins celebrated soprano Jeanine De Bique in an exploration of the historical links between Europe and its Caribbean colonies in the eighteenth century. Conducted by Jeannette Sorrell, praised by Seen & Heard International as ‘a master storyteller’ through music, this programme places works by Händel, Purcell, Marais and Vivaldi in dialogue with the voices of Caribbean poets, conceived as a celebration of our shared humanity.
