In a recent review published in The Telegraph, Geoffrey Norris stated that «Ingrid Fliter was born to play Chopin». As it happens, according to Fliter herself, if it weren’t for Chopin, the Argentinian pianist would never have been born, since her parents met while her father was playing Chopin waltzes at a party. She has a profound knowledge of the composer who is a sort of second skin for her. The Gramophone magazine said about The Complete Waltzes album of 2009 that it was «among the finest Chopin recordings of recent years».
