The pianist Igor Levit gives his second recital on the stage of the Grand Auditorium. Levit is a constant revelation in his performances, not only for his rapturous virtuosity, but also for the originality of his programmes, and he receives stunning praise wherever he performs. In the LA Times, Levit was singled out as “the future”. A future not restricted by convention: he doesn’t set out to emulate models of the past nor to give himself to temperamental excesses. But all this is a minor matter when his interpretations are driven by a great curiosity, as well as passion and elegance.
