Event Slider

In a festive atmosphere, we open our doors and invite the audience to join the celebrations of the anniversary of a choir that, over the course of 60 years, has made a decisive contribution to the enhancement of the Portuguese choral scene.

A special program that includes the premiere of a documentary about the Gulbenkian Choir, vocal technique and choral conducting workshops, activities for families, a participatory open rehearsal and an a cappella concert.

The Gulbenkian Choir began its activity in February 1964, making its public debut on May 27 of the same year, in a concert with the National Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra, which took place at the Church of São Vicente de Fora, as part of the 8th Gulbenkian Music Festival.
