Grand Auditorium Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation

For nine consecutive years, each visit to the Grand Auditorium by the legendary pianist Grigory Sokolov has offered the opportunity for audiences to witness an historic moment. Any piece from the piano repertoire played by Sokolov is like entering a new world, far beyond the notes written in the score. As the Le Figaro wrote in 2017: “Sokolov takes us to another plane, in which it becomes impossible to glimpse at and separate what it reveals about the composer and his interpreter”.
