Kremerata Baltica

In 1997, Gidon Kremer founded a new orchestra formed exclusively of young Baltic musicians, carefully selected by the violinist. From the first concert, it became clear that the realisation of this idea resulted in an ensemble that would be able to enrapture new audiences. Since then, the Kremerata Baltica has played a varied, eclectic repertoire, as is clear from the programme for this concert, which ranges from Schubert to Piazolla and Glass. After recording Company for string orchestra and The American Four Seasons, the Kremerata is now focusing on the Orphée Suite by Glass.
