François Leleux’s first encounter with the Gulbenkian Orchestra was in 2014 at the Espinho International Music Festival. At the time, the critic from Publico, Pedro M. Santos spoke of “the high technical virtuosity and the great sensitivity and expressive capacity” of one of the most important oboists of our day. In this concert, Leleux also assumes the role of conductor, directing a programme that also revisits part of the repertoire that he recorded on the reference album Mozart: Works for Oboe and Orchestra.
