Gulbenkian Orchestra and Choir / Nuno Coelho / Camilla Tilling

Event Slider

Since her debut at the New York City Opera, which was rounded off with a thunderous ovation, the Swedish soprano Camilla Tilling has become a regular presence on the world’s most prestigious opera stages. In the 22 years since that initial moment, Tilling’s maturation has also turned her into one of the most engaging and fascinating voices in concerts and recitals, in which she is able to employ all the beauty of her vocal coloratura. At Gulbenkian Music she will sing the Four Last Songs of R. Strauss, inspired by the poetry of Joseph von Eichendorff and Hermann Hesse. Another highlight is the possibility of hearing the rarely performed piece Gesang der Parzen, for choir and orchestra, by J. Brahms.
