After the success Daniil Trifonov enjoyed in his debut recital at Gulbenkian Music in February 2015, the young Russian prodigy returns in 2016 for a new recital. Possessed of an impressive technique, Trifonov is repeatedly praised by two of his greatest admirers – Martha Argerich and Valery Gergiev. Gergiev was the conductor who, in 2012, sponsored his debut with the Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre when the pianist’s maturity clearly far surpassed his meagre 21 years.
