Lisboa na Rua

For the third year running, the Gulbenkian Orchestra emphasises its commitment to leave its home base in search of new audiences in a more informal context, bringing compositions of confirmed universal appeal to some more unusual concert venues in Lisbon, while emerging as a living element in the daily life of the city. Once again in the context of the Lisboa na Rua Festival, the Gulbenkian Orchestra and Choir and the Coro Infantil do Instituto Gregoriano de Lisboa, offer close contact to connoisseurs and the inquisitive alike, in the captivating setting of the Parque do Vale do Silêncio, with one of the most popular pieces of the 20th century repertoire, Carl Orff’s cantata Carmina Burana.
