— Intermission of 20 min —

Anton Bruckner

Symphony No. 6 in A major
Total approximate duration: 110 min

“I owe everything to Debussy and my father,” said Lorenzo Viotti in a 2017 interview with the Corriere della Sera newspaper. The son and natural successor of conductor Marcello Viotti, he was fascinated as a child when he heard Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande, a defining moment in his artistic career. This time, together with works by Wagner and Bruckner, he will deal with Primavera, a creation that Debussy himself described as dealing with the slow flowering of beings in nature.
