Nobody sings Serge Gainsbourg like the iconic Jane Birkin. The pair first encountered each other in 1969 followed by a love story that filled up newspaper columns (through to their separation in 1981) and a long and very productive artistic collaboration. Gainsbourg was to die in 1991.

This performance, receiving its premiere in Portugal, celebrates with emotion and intensity all of the classics of the French singer with arrangements for orchestra by the Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Nakajima. Some two dozen songs make up this repertoire and including La Javanaise, Jane B, Babe Alone in Babylone, La Chanson de Prévert, Requiem pour un con, Initiales BB, My Lady Heroine and Lost Song.
