Gramophone magazine realised early on the musical phenomenon that the Italian Beatrice Rana was becoming when it wrote in 2014 that the pianist “possesses an old soul that belies her 20 years, and more than a touch of genius.” Winner of the Silver medal in the 2013 Van Cliburn Piano Competition, Beatrice Rana made such a brilliant impression that Warner Classics had no hesitation in offering her an exclusive contract. Her first album, dedicated to the Piano Concertos of Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky under the direction of Antonio Pappano, was immediately praised by the leading international specialist magazines.
