Grand Auditorium Calouste Gulbenkian FoundationThe choice of the Helsinki Music Centre to celebrate New Year 2016 fell on the Baroque Fado. It is a highly successful original proposal by Marcos Magalhães which includes the voices of soprano Ana Quintans and fado singer Ricardo Ribeiro, setting the audience off on a fantastic journey across time, between oral tradition and written music, visiting pieces for Portuguese guitar, Mediaeval, Arab and Galician music, the Portuguese baroque, fado and lundum. A musical sounding board for the Portuguese identity from the 13th century to the present day.
