Arcadi Volodos was distinguished in 2018 with the Gramophone Award for Best Instrumental Recording, awarded to a solo album dedicated to Brahms, immediately acclaimed as a landmark in piano repertory rendition. Volodos, reputed to balance sky-high levels of imagination, passion and technical virtuosity, returns to Gulbenkian Music with his approach to a new programme consisting of Liszt and Schumann pieces, where Kreisleriana, stands out as a tremendously demanding piece.
