In recent times, Arcadi Volodos has put his high expressiveness and impressive technique at the service of works created in the last years of composers’ lives. “The music of geniuses in the final stage of life says things so profound that to realise their meaning you have to play them without rest,” he said in an interview with El País. Back at the Grand Auditorium, Volodos will perform works by Franz Schubert and Fryderyk Chopin, two composers he has sought to explore more deeply in this context.
