Grand Auditorium Calouste Gulbenkian FoundationOriginally presented in December 2015, this show was created by Adriana Calcanhotto to mark the closing ceremony of the 725th anniversary celebrations of the University of Coimbra. With the guest appearance of Arthur Nestrovski, the Brazilian singer travels through the poetry and music of Portugal and Brazil, joining in the same programme poems by Camões, Mário de Sá Carneiro, Fernando Pessoa, Fiama Hasse Pais Brandão, Vinicius de Moraes, Dorival Caymmi, Tom Jobim and Chico Buarque, and also including a love song by King Dinis. Das Rosas, the Caymmi song that gives the recital its title, was partially composed during a visit by the musician to Coimbra.
