The enthusiastically acclaimed young British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor became, at 11, the youngest «Young Musician of the Year» elected by the BBC. A decade on, in 2014, Grosvenor was performing at the BBC Proms, in the world premiere of Day Break Shadows Flee by Judith Weir. The ease with which he moves between different repertoires is clear in the Dances album, where he combines pieces by Bach, Chopin, Scriabin and Granados, and earned him the comment of the Gramophone magazine: «He may well be the most remarkable young pianist of our time.»
