The duo formed by guitarist Bill Orcutt and drummer Chris Corsano is capable of almost anything. It is as normal to hear them create a frenetically wild and uncontrollable sound as it is to see them abandoned to one that is contemplative and crystal clear without this change from one to the other seeming to represent any contradiction. Any new addition to their musical relationship is therefore replete with unexpected places, in the certainty, however, that they have a rare talent for making their instruments “sing”. Made Out of Sound, their latest album, is another noteworthy example of this ability to cross musical boundaries.
