Topographic Plant – Study for the construction of the CAM (Modern Art Centre)
1966 Revision
Following the location proposed by the Board of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation for the Centro de Arte Moderna in 1980, the landscape architects António Facco Viana Barreto and Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles resigned from their positions as consultants.
In light of this situation, landscape architect Edgar Fontes was invited to take on the role.
The new building required the relocation of the plant nursery, which had been situated since 1958 in the area that would later be occupied by the Centro de Arte Moderna.
