Layout Plan of the Children’s Arts Centre
This technical drawing forms part of a series of projects developed by landscape architect Edgar Fontes from 1981 onwards, following the construction of the Centro de Arte Moderna building.
The interventions led by Edgar Fontes extended throughout the Garden, although they focused primarily on the areas surrounding the new building that were affected by its construction.
In addition to the CAM, from 1984 onwards the Garden also accommodated the Centro Artístico Infantil (CAI), which operated within ACARTE (Service for Artistic Animation, Artistic Creation and Arts Education), under the direction of Madalena de Azeredo Perdigão.
