Ever since she succeeded Michel Corboz, Martina Batič has brought innovative programming to the a cappella cycle, allowing the interpretative qualities of the Gulbenkian Choir to shine. Her commitment to exploring, deepening and giving special attention to the work of Portuguese artists is also evident in this programme, which traces a wide-ranging journey through Italy (from Monteverdi to Dallapiccola) and Portugal (Fernando Lopes-Graça and Eurico Carrapatoso).
