Drawing on two traditional South Korean string instruments, the gayageum and the geomungo, Ha Suyean and Hwang Hyeyoung created a duo that reinterprets the language of these instruments through a contemporary approach. Under the name Dal:um, the two young musicians invent a unique sound world, reclaiming tradition as living and renewable material through music that is as daring as it is beautiful, as enchanting as it is challenging. Their most recent album, Coexistence, was inspired by the natural landscapes around Seoul, but also by those they discovered during their European tours.
