Fernão Cruz. Biting Dust
Biting Dust is a solo exhibition by the artist Fernão Cruz (Lisbon, 1995), showing works created specifically for the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Curated by Leonor Nazaré, the exhibition brings together a selection of paintings and sculptures made between 2019 and 2021.
With an introductory text by the CAM director Benjamin Weil, the publication accompanying this exhibition that is already in its 2nd edition includes an essay by Leonor Nazaré, in which she reflects on Fernão Cruz’s work, as well as a conversation between the curator and the artist, in which they delve into his career.
As well as reproductions of all the works shown, each copy of the first edition included a special gift: an original and previously unseen drawing by the artist, dated and signed.
