CAM in Yerres
From 21 May, Maison Caillebotte, in Yerres, is hosting the exhibition Modernités portugaises (Portuguese modernities), which looks at the modernist period in Portugal. The exhibition focuses on the relationship between Portugal and France, particularly Paris as an international artistic centre to which many artists moved in the early 20th century in search of modernity.
Modernités portugaises includes more than 100 works by Portuguese artists who contributed to modern art, both in Portugal and abroad. Works by Sarah Affonso, José de Almada Negreiros, Mário Cesariny, António Dacosta, Robert Delaunay, Sonia Delaunay, Ofélia Marques, Santa Rita Pintor, Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso, Arpad Szenes, Eduardo Viana and Maria Helena Vieira da Silva will be on display.
The CAM is participating in this project with the loan of more than 60 paintings, drawings and prints, including some of the most significant works in the Collection. Part of the Portugal-France Season 2022, the exhibition will be on display in Yerres until October this year.
