This group show of contemporary art follows on from the exhibition that opened in Prague, Czech Republic, on April 29, 2019, and is the result of a partnership between Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea – MNAC and the Prague Municipal Gallery – GHMP, curated by Adelaide Ginga and Sandra Baborovska. Works by artists from the former Czechoslovakia are presented in their various responses to the totalitarian regime, in dialog with their Portuguese contemporaries, drawing an analogy between Portuguese and Czechoslovak art produced between 1968 and 1989.
