Exhibition “Anti-Isto: Manifesto-Poema”
Anti-Isto: Manifesto-Poema (Anti-This: Manifesto-Poem), the name of the exhibition that can be visited at the Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea (MNAC) until April 26, 2026, is the fourth edition of a curatorial project developed by students of the Master’s Degree in Curatorial Studies at the College of Arts of the University of Coimbra, in partnership with the Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea (MNAC), the UmbigoLAB Platform, and the Millennium BCP Foundation support and solidarity network, under the coordination of Ana Rito. This year’s exhibition also features a special collaboration with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Art Library.
The seven works that form part of Anti-Isto: Manifesto-Poema were chosen by the students during their various research visits to the Art Library throughout the project. The items chosen for the exhibition belong to special collections, namely the Calouste Gulbenkian Private Library, the Ernesto de Sousa Mail Art Collection, the Helena Almeida Collection, and the Artist’s Books and Independent Publishing Collection.
