Photographic collection by Mário Novais on Gothic architecture in Portugal, the result of an inventory conducted by art historian Mário Tavares Chicó in the 1950s.

A photographic survey of Gothic architecture in Portugal comprising 410 photographic images by photographer Mário Novais, reproducing the interiors, exteriors and decorative elements of religious and civil buildings such as Sé de Silves, Igreja do Mosteiro de Leça do Balio, Museu Nacional Machado de Castro, Casa dos Bicos, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, among others.

They were assembled by art historian Mário Tavares Chicó to produce an inventory on the subject, which resulted in the book A arquitectura gótica em Portugal (The Gothic architecture in Portugal), published in 1954.

The collection was acquired through a direct purchase from Estúdio Mário Novais in 1976-1977.
